As we begin our journey of exploring the elements with AIR, let's take a moment to call it into our lives, breathe it in, and notice.
Breathe in...
Notice it filling your lungs, expanding your chest... then releasing into the space around you.
How does your body move as you fill your lungs?
What does the air feel like on your skin?
From now until April, keep your eyes, nose, and ears focused on the air around you. Keep your imagination active as you filter your life through the lens of AIR. How does air show up in your life physically? How do the qualities of air show up in your life metaphorically? How can you use air to help you in your day-to-day? For example, when things feel tough, you can close your eyes, take a deep breath, and invite air in to lighten things up.
As we begin to notice air in our lives, we'll not only gain a deeper understanding of the world around us, but we'll also start to gain a deeper understanding of who we are.
Using AIR as our lens through which we see our lives, we'll begin to see things in a way we may not have otherwise, gaining clarity on all aspects of our BEing.
To help us hold this lens in place, it's helpful to place reminders around our spaces and infuse our activities with air. Here are some ideas you can use:
#1.
Journal or Ponder About Air - Taking some time to reflect on what you already know about air is a powerful way to begin our journey together with intention and trust in your own inner knowing. Journal, write, paint, doodle, or think about air and how it plays a role in your life. Here are some prompts to get you started:
#2. Create a Pinterest Board - Pinterest is full of inspiring air images, and a perfect place to create dream boards, energy boards, and more. Create a board full of calming images that remind you to slow down and take a deep breath. Or, create a vision board for what your heart is calling you to do. To get started, take a peek at my Air Inspiration board HERE.
#3.
Update Your Desktop and Mobile Backgrounds - Changing up my desktop and mobile background images is one of my favorite ways to remind me of a feeling, mood, or energy I aim to embody that day/week/month. What side of air do you want to embody this week or this month? Do you want to call in the expansiveness of air? Or perhaps an airy feeling? Keep this thought in mind as you search for an image that reminds you of this feeling. Images are powerful in evoking certain feelings and responses in us!

#4.
Infuse Your Creative Practice - Whether you art journal, create mandalas, draw, paint, dance, or whatever... infuse it with the energy of air. Use air as your inspiration!
#5.
Create an Altar - Creating a space to celebrate air is a beautiful way to honor the element and to remind you of its presence throughout your day. Simply gather a few things that remind you of air and display them together in a space that you'll see during your day. Perhaps your nightstand? Or a shelf next to your desk? Some items you might consider adding to your altar are: feathers, a candle or incense to invoke your sense of smell, light pastel items or stones, angels, photographs, etc.
Some other ideas might be: Listen to flutes or other music (My fav flute album is Dreams from the Grandfather), light incense, start or bring intention to a breathing practice, get your heart pumping, use essential oils, smell roses, follow me on Instagram, read my AIR E-Book, watch the breeze move through the trees, star gaze, find pictures in the clouds...
What other ideas do you have? Which of these will you try? Share in the comments below!

Smiling for you that the universe has brought you a windy, blustery day in Connecticut to celebrate the launch of your Elements series with AIR!!
Very nice article you pulled together here, Kristal! I am Libra, so then an air sign and I love air! I love moving and dancing…but when I saw your sand beach photo made me kind of freeze. We have -7C’ degrees here and that’s definitely not a great weather to dive your feet into the blue ocean.
Air makes me think first of breathing, this essential chest movement up and down that sustain life. I recently discovered that correct breathing will help me overcome some health problems, as breathing produces blood cells. Did you know? ;)
Have a great week over there, my dear!
See you soon,
Cristina

Along with my Leonie Dawson planning this year and your encouragement in both the paper planner and breathing, I have been practicing deep breathing from my diaphragm. I am using a book by Pam Grout on breathing. It is so amazing…I have so much more energy!
Hi Kristal, thank you :) In spring the air is full of wonders, creativity and love, here comes a fresh and warm breeze, feel and enjoy it:)
