One would think answering the call to create is as simple as 1-2-3:
1. Feel the urge.
2. Grab some supplies.
3. Go create.
But if you’re human like the rest of us, you may easily wake up one day with a nine-hour-YouTube-marathon hangover, knee deep in supplies you now feel guilty for buying because you still don’t know what the heck to do with any of it. And even if you did, you know it’ll never turn out the way she did it. Ugh, and let’s not even mention that huge pile of laundry still sitting in the corner and the dirty dishes in the sink. How do those artists make it look so easy!? They clearly have superpowers or something.
Let’s face it - that deep yearning inside that’s pulling you feels so bright and promising and invigorating, but it can be confusing and frustrating as hell.
There’s two things that I know for sure:
Yes, You ARE Creative.
And you’re feeling that urge for a reason.
Because here’s the deal:
In order to create or express yourself authentically, it needs to come from an authentic place. From within.
Beautiful, you are so much more than you realize.
Your Creative Soul is calling you back home.
As a wife, business owner, and mom of three, I know just as well as anyone how busy life can get. It’s all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to take time for yourself. In this day and age, so many of us are walking around living a masked life on auto-pilot, disconnected from our innate creativity, our intuition, and who we truly are.
Life can be harsh. But I want you to know that you always have the most beautiful, knowing, loving guide within you. Your Soul, full of infinite wisdom and creativity, patiently waits for you to come back home and nurture the flames.
So I’m not here to teach you a new technique, or how to be an artist, or how to perfect your creations into beauties…
I'm here to guide you toward reclaiming your Creative Soul.
To help turn your gaze inward so that you may see the light of your spirit and the truth in your own innate wisdom.
To offer tools to move past self-doubt, judgement, comparison, and perfectionism, so you can make space for your Soul to step in with raw, REAL expression.
With a Courageous Living Coach certification, formal training in the fine arts, and a life-long creative journey, I hold a unique perspective on the creative process. I understand the ways our minds try to sabotage us and hold us back in fear. And to feed my insatiably curious mind, I continue to study spirituality, psychology, somatics, astrology, martial arts, and more to offer a truly holistic approach.
Over the last decade of working with Creative Souls, I’ve developed an effective approach to the “Rooting In” process; which has helped thousands transform their self-doubting inner critic, reclaim their creativity, and realize their unique inner beauty. (And yes, all while relearning how to play with simple supplies and an art journal!)
I hate to break it to you… but those artists you admire don’t have superpowers.
What they do have is an intimate connection with their creative spirit, and the experience to know how to move past the fear and that persistent inner critic. Because truthfully? Fear itself can never be extinguished. But when you’re living a Soul-led life - living with curiosity and love, rooted in a sense of self - you feel like you can overcome anything.
The world longs for you to be at your fullest expression.
It's time to return home to yourself.
It’s your time to shine.
Are you ready to answer the call?
>> FUN FACTS ABOUT ME <<
I've been creative all my life, dabbling in everything from quilting to candle making. But it wasn't until I found art journaling in my 30s that I began the journey of reclaiming my Creative Soul.
My sun sign is Aquarius, and my natal chart is 89% AIR. (Read: I get stuck in my head. Like, a lot.) That's why I crave, love, and need Earth. Life's all about finding harmony, right?
Even though I'm super introverted and usually calm and quiet... I swear like a sailor, am known to break into silly dance, and often find myself talking a mile a minute when excited!
I was never athletic until finding martial arts; now I'm obsessed! The beautiful thing is, I discovered that it's rich with insight that parallels the creative journey and life itself.
