As a busy mom of three little ones, I know how easy it is to let life just take over, giving in to the daily grind as day after day passes by. You push your dreams and desires to the back burner. You give so much, you have nothing left to give yourself.

Until one day… you wake up, and realize your life has lost its purpose. You don’t even know who you are anymore. You spend your days on auto pilot, waiting for the weekend, or worse yet that one special day or one special week out of the entire 365 day year.

But it doesn’t have to be like this. Every day can hold miracles. Every day can become a step in your journey toward happiness and a fulfilling life. You just have to make the conscious decision to become aware and take back control.

It’s not easy, I’ll admit. I’m still on this journey to reclaiming myself after years spent on auto pilot. But with determination and the right support, you can change your habits and begin to lead the happy, fulfilling life you were born to live.

Overcoming the Fear of Bringing Your Creative Ideas Into the World

If you’ve written about facing your fears or perhaps practiced courage in your art, feel free to share in the comments. Remember, it’s all about practicing courage and taking one small step at a time towards the goals and dreams in your life. We’re not looking for overnight miracles (although those are pretty great too).

We all have fears, at least at one point or another, of putting ourselves out there. Especially when you want to create something and put it out into the world. Here are my top four tips on getting over this fear so you can bring your creative ideas to fruition.

Tip #1. What’s the worst that can happen?

Truthfully ask yourself, “What’s the worst that can happen if I create my idea and put it out into the world?” Usually the outcome isn’t as bad as wondering, “What if?” years from now if you dropped the idea.

Tip #2. Do your research

Doing your research first to see if there are actually people out there interested in the solution or idea you are working on can either save yourself a lot of time and energy, or encourage you to move on with the idea. Check how many people are searching for similar topics on Google using the Google keyword tool. Take a look around on Amazon or other websites to see if there are books or classes on the subject.

Tip #3. Check in with your peeps

Get in touch with some real people who may be interested in what you are creating. Are they excited about the idea? Do you get good feedback on social media when you talk about this topic?

Tip #4. Take your first step

If you’ve gotten some good feedback on your idea, its time to take that first step in creating your idea. The first step is always the hardest. But in taking that first step, you will gain the courage to finish it.

Everyone has fears, but as long as you take the steps to move past it, you can do anything!

Stamp Carving Evolution

If you’ve been following me on facebook, you know that I’ve been carving stamps like crazy these past couple weeks to get ready for my upcoming e-book and video class “Stamp Carving 101″. I was hoping to have it ready for today (actually, it was supposed to launch weeks ago, but that’s another story), but its going to take at least another few days to have it finished. So for today, I thought I’d share a fun little evolution video of how a drawing transforms into a stamp, then into finished tags. Hope you enjoy it!
